Just like when you are looking for a mover in Charlotte- you need to find someone who is trustworthy, reliable, and looks out for your best interest.

Here are some tips on How to find a Realtor:

1. Find a realtor that meets your needs. Are you buying or selling your home? Or both? Some realtors specialize in either being a “Buying Agent” that is where they help you find a home or a “Selling Agent” that is when they help you sell your home. Oftentimes, you need a realtor to do both: sell your existing home and find you a new home.
2. Do research online and talk to Friends and Family. Everyone know a real estate agent these days, so ask around. Ask people you trust to recommend someone. Listen even more when people tell you to avoid someone. Research the names online to see if they have a large online presence. Being savvy online is essential in the real estate market.

4. Look for experience. You want a realtor with experience. Someone who knows the area well and can negotiate.
5. Look at their Current Listings. An agent’s current listing will tell you a lot about their style of real estate. If their listings are professional and well-maintained that is a great sign. You want an agent that can sell your house to the right buyer with ease. And you also need agent that knows how to get you a great deal.
6. Meet with them. Don’t be afraid to shop around before you sign a contract. We always encourage our moving clients to get 3 estimates, so why not meet with at least 3 realtors. Personality goes a long way in real estate. You want someone you trust to negotiate for you and fight for you as well. You need someone who understands your needs as well as someone who understands the market.
