At T-N-T Moving Systems, Tom Tulowiecki and Todd Koepke have taken a green approach to packing – and it has nothing to do with the color of the boxes!
Boxes are the foundation of a successful move. Whether you’re moving a one-room studio apartment or a 14-room home, you need boxes – for pots and pans, dishes, towels and sheets, clothing and household effects. Books and toys, your grandmother’s china, your TV remote – it all goes in a box.
“Packing is really the most crucial part of the move,” Todd said. “Having the right boxes, packing up everything … it all goes much smoother.”
For most customers, it’s hard to figure out how many boxes will be needed. Everyone has a budget, and no one wants to buy more boxes than they need. T-N-T to the rescue! Tom and Todd will help you estimate what you need, and in most cases, they will personally deliver the boxes to your door. If they’re available, you may be able to get recycled boxes – ones used in a previous move and still in excellent shape. And no worries about over-estimating and buying more boxes than you need – if you buy 40 boxes and use only 20, T-N-T is happy to buy back the unused boxes! There’s no risk to you – and no waste!
“Our customers are surprised that we bring the boxes right to them,” Todd said. “We like to do it, because it helps the customer out, and it gives us a chance to meet them before the move and get to know them a little bit. People really seem to appreciate it.”
Once you’re in the new location, Todd recommends that you unpack a box, then break it down and take it to a central location, such as the garage. Once you’ve unpacked all your boxes and flattened them, call T-N-T. They will come by and haul them away for you, free of charge. Keep as many as you want; what you don’t want, they will pick up and take away.
If your boxes are in good shape and able to be safely used again, Todd and Tom will pass them on to another a customer, at a deeply discounted rate.
